Prepare yourself for a long post guys, because we ate and drank at EVERY country in Walt Disney's Epcot World Showcase!

We went to Disney's Epcot for the Festival of Holidays! (Back in December 2017)

There are 11 countries in the World Showcase, and we hit them all! There's so much to do and see at Epcot that we ended up having to split it into 2 days because we were so full! #foodcoma

We found have this huge telescope so you can see all of the countries around the world showcase across the lagoon!

First stop was Mexico!

We stopped to eat at La Cantina. We got the tacos de pescado, tacos de barbacoa, and some guacamole to share. To drink we got margaritas and a sangria, delish!

Before we left to go onto the next country, we stopped at kidcot (lol) to get our passports, so we could get it stamped at every country and really feel like were traveling around the world! Each country has a stamp and draws a little character. For Mexico, it was a cactus with a sombrero, how cute!
We tried on some sombreros as we walked through Mexico, and then rode the Gran Fiesta Tour boat ride!

Hi from Norway! We tried some beers such as white ale and pilsner. And we got to ride the Frozen Ever After ride, it was awesome. The characters seemed so real!

Next stop was China! It's unreal how beautiful the Chinese Temple of
Heaven is! Something neat is that the architect designed the temple so that when you stand right in the middle it magnifies your voice and sounds incredibly loud. So of course we took this opportunity to sing a Frozen song, lol. You can see this on our Youtube channel here https://youtu.be/bUrBnD24484. It really echoes so beautifully.
Since we were there for the Festival of Holidays, each country had a Holiday Kitchen. We decided to eat at the Shanghai Holiday Kitchen in China. We tried mango wine, the mongolian beef bao bun, veggie egg rolls, and fortune cookies! The bao bun was so good, it was like nothing we've ever had before. It's a super soft dough. You've gotta try it!
We stopped to get our passports signed before moving on. They signed Nicholle's with a panda in a birthday hat that says "Happy Birthday Nicholle!" in Chinese. How fun!

Next stop, Germany! We ate at the Bavaria Holiday Kitchen, they had some cool options here. Since we were already getting pretty full from the previous countries, as you can imagine, we just got the stollen holiday fruit cake and a cider flight to share!

We also learned a fun German tradition. One of their Christmas traditions is to hide a pickle in the Christmas tree, and whoever finds the pickle get rewarded an additional gift! We thought that was a neat tradition.

Italy was our last stop of Day 1. We were exhausted and stuffed but somehow managed to eat a whole pizza and drink some wine! We ate at the Via Napoli restaurant and got the margherita pizza, yum! Something cool we discovered is that everyone who works at the countries in Epcot is actually FROM the country they work in! Our waiter at the restaurant in Italy was actually from Roma, Italy. It really makes you feel like you're in that country when you're there. We thought that was so neat!

Day 2! This time, we worked the opposite way and stopped by Canada first and got to see the Niagara Falls, it was Kristina's birthday!

We stopped at the Yukon Holiday Kitchen for some food. We tried the seared salmon with a whiskey glaze, it was so good! They were out of the ice wine flight so we got the red stone cabernet ice wine instead!

Next stop was the United Kingdom! They have these old school red telephone booths all over, which make for a fun photo!

We stopped in the Rose & Crown Pub to get a snack and some beers. It was so beautiful inside, you really felt like you were in the U.K. back in the 80's. Kristina got a black velvet beer and Nicholle got a snakebite. And we split the fish & chips!

And then we made it to Paris!

In France we ate at Les Chefs de France! A beautiful restaurant. We got a bottle of champagne, french onion soup, tartar, and a cheeseboard (how good does that look?!). We couldn't help ourselves but to go all out, lol. When in France!

And because we were celebrating our birthdays, they brought us both a dessert and sang to us! "Joyeux Anniversaire" is one way to say Happy Birthday in French!

I guess that dessert wasn't enough because after we ate our birthday cake, we went into the Cartisan Des Glaces and got a pumpkin spice macaroon! It came wrapped in newspaper with the Eiffel Tower on it, it was so cute!

Morocco was next!

We got to Morocco just as it was getting dark. At night time every country is lit except Morocco. The reason being that the main building is an exact replica of the Katoubia Minaret, a prayer tower from Marrakesh, it has an important religious significance. So to light it during the illuminations firework show would be perceived as demeaning. The King of Morocco actually sent craftsmen and artisans to help Disney design and create the pavilion! So cool.

We went into the gift shops, they had all sorts of cool trinkets! Then we ate at the Tarabaki Holiday Kitchen an tried Moroccan food for the first time! We tried the triangle honey briwats. They were such a different taste, like nothing we've had before!

Japan was another one that just felt so real! This is the perfect picture spot with the Epcot ball in the background.

We sat down to eat and they had origami napkins on the table. We got some sake and sushi! It was delicious.

And of course another birthday treat!

When Nicholle got her passport stamped they wrote happy birthday and said her name in Japanese means "smiley", so cute!

Last but not least is America! We shared the rootbeer float and a mickey mouse pretzel. The America pavillion really reminded Nikki of Boston. It really has that New England feel!
And if you have time to ride any rides while at Epcot, Test Track and Soarin' around the world are awesome!

If you actually made it to the end of this blog post thanks for reading, lol! We had an amazing time celebrating our birthdays at the happiest place on earth! #waltdisneyworld Epcot was so much fun to eat and drink around the world, we loved seeing what every country has to offer.
