Every time we visit Orlando, Florida, we call Loews Sapphire Falls our home away from home. This resort is amongst 5 other Universal Resorts & Hotel Properties in the area and our favorite! What makes Loews Sapphire Falls so special is it's contemporary caribbean theme and tropical vibes with their orange and blue color scheme, lush palm trees and extravagant waterfall that allows you to feel as if you have escaped to an island retreat!
📍: 6601 Adventure Way, Orlando, 32819
The amenities include:
- Spacious Gym with top-line equipment and machines.
- Arcade and pool games, fun for all family members.
- Heated Pool area with cabanas (tv included), food/drink wait services, water slide and outdoor bar and restaurant, and soft, white sand beach area. Sometimes they play movies at night and have marshmallows available to roast for yummy s'mores.
- 4 on-site restaurants:
Dhrum Club Kantine - Pool-side bar and restaurant with frozen drink options.
Strong Water Tavern - bar and restauant with draft beer, tapa style food options and outdoor seating. (pet friendly)
Amatista Cookhouse - Restaurant that serves breakfast (includes a buffet), lunch and dinner with outdoor seating near the water taxi/walkway path.
New Dutch Trading Co. - grab and go quick service options that opens early for breakfast, coffee, sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, ice cream and more.
- Water taxi (read below for more info),Walking Path and Shuttles to Universal City Walk with dining, shopping and entertainment and all 3 theme parks; Universal Studios Florida, Universal Studios Island of Adventure, Universal's Volcano Bay (water park).
- Pet-friendly resort (they even give out special gift bags for your furry best friend!)
- Early Park Admission to the Wizardly World of Harry Potter, one hour before the park is open to the public and exclusive hotel guest only entrance to Universal Studios Florida, which we took advantage of during the long hectic line at one of their Halloween Horror Nights event.
- 24 hour room service and limited late-night menu after 11pm.

The pool even has a water slide! How fun!?

This time we stayed for our birthday week! Kristina is December 14 and Nicholle is the 15th! The hotel staff were very accommodating, friendly and joined us as we sang Happy Birthday to each other. When we ordered room service, the staff came in to set up our table as if we were dining in a restaurant.

(Double Queen bed room)
The beds are comfy with thinner covers, which makes sense with the Florida heat. There is plenty of lighting and outlets with charging ports. Also, the ihome radio/speaker is updated with the newer iphone charging port! (Finally! Someone is doing it!)
Tip: extra blankets are inside the closet!

(TV with cable, newer movies available for purchase, a mini fridge for chilling water bottles and leftover food and a keurig with Loew's brand coffee and tea.)

(Office area with additional outlets for charging and menus with room service, info about the theme parks and amenities and map of the resort.)

(single-sink vanity includes additional towers, a blow dryer and bathroom essentials such as soap, cotton balls, and more.)

(Shower with bench, tub optional for those traveling with children and accessibility)

The Loews also provides a water taxi that you can take to Universal City Walk. It's a beautiful 5 minute ride down the waterway. It's available until 2am! Or if you want to take a evening stroll, there is also a nice walking path option.
Like we said we always opt to stay at Loews Sapphire Falls when visiting Orlando, we love everything about it. Nothing beats its caribbean charm and friendly staff! 🍊☀️🎢
