Our Staycation in a Tiny House

We've realized that we haven’t been taking advantage of all the awesome places to see, things to do and restaurants to eat at while we’re home. So sometimes taking a staycation is necessary, especially when new festivals and events are popping up for Spring in Atlanta! 🌸

We chose to rent an Airbnb, where we found this absolutely adorable Tiny Urban Cottage. (We can’t believe that it was only five minutes away from Nikki‘s house!) #staycation

This urban cottage is located in Cabbagetown, just five minutes from Krog Street market, a super cute marketplace with a diverse range of retail and restaurants choices. The cottage is right behind the residence of the owner, Genevieve, and you can visit her listing on Airbnb right here if you’re interested in staying in this tiny house yourself.

Inside the cottage, were greeted by the screened in porch that looks out to the garden. There's a corner with comfy chairs and a small table, which is the perfect spot to enjoy reading or a cup of tea.🍵📚

In the main room, the bed is perfectly made, and she even gave us a bar of chocolate with almonds, how sweet?! 🍫

In the corner, there’s a kitchenette that includes a microwave and a small refrigerator, kind of like the ones you would find in a hotel room. They've also provided some utensils, a couple of wine glasses, some coffee mugs and an assortment of teas.

The bathroom has a few shelves and hooks for towels and belongings. The shower has a contemporary subway tile design with shampoo & conditioner, and a bar of soap is available.

And most importantly, there are two mirrors, a small one above the sink and a 1/2 length mirror on the bathroom door, which is perfect for us so we can get ready at the same time.

The best part of this tiny house is the outdoor shower behind the main home. With the trees above us, it looked as if we were in some tropical location! Lastly, she also has a hot tub, but it wasn’t available for use.

This tiny urban cottage was in a charming neighborhood, close to so many amazing places Atlanta has to offer.

Besides the location, it's just absolutely adorable and it's so cool to see how someone can transform a small space to make it super comfortable and cozy.

There are so many things to do in Atlanta and we're so happy that we chose this tiny cottage to spend our staycation. We really enjoyed our stay and we kinda wish we lived there!

Have you ever done a staycation in your city? And have you ever stayed in a tiny house like this? 🏠
